The east side of Darger peak is completely impassable.  The trail heads into the snow field at the left center of the picture and follows the ridgeline contour.  I know that it will emerge into a giant dangerous field so I have to go to the left around the west face.

Looking back to the south from half way up the south flank of Darger peak you can see the trail I just came up.  Francis peak radar balls are at the extreme upper right.
